Julie Rish, PhD Julie Rish is a clinical psychologist and director of design and best practice in the Office of Patient Experience at the Cleveland Clinic. She is the director of communication skills training and an assistant professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Rish’s work focuses on applying human-centered design to improve patient experience and co-designing partnering with patients to transform healthcare. Alexander Walker, PhD Alexander Walker is a senior director of learning research and design at MedStar Health Simulation Training and Education Lab, which is the educational development organization of one of the largest healthcare systems in the mid-Atlantic. He holds a Ph.D. in human factors psychology from Clemson University. Early in his career, Alex engaged in research examining the effects of learning in different simulation environments on the impacts of performance and the development of motion sickness. His other research experience includes the investigation of team performance, the psychophysiological assessment of the workload and performance of individuals and teams.

Jessica Saunders Jessica Saunders is the director of the Office of Community Health and Engagement Programs at Dayton Children's Hospital. She is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of Dayton Children's child health and wellness efforts in the community, including the Dayton Asthma Alliance and the Family Resource Connection social needs screening and referral program. Jessica also leads the community health needs assessment research, planning and priority area program implementation as well as the community benefit programming of Dayton Children’s. In her tenure at Dayton Children’s, she has coordinated internal, regional, state and national organizations and resources to provide specific programs designed to prevent illness, injury and other harm and improve the health of children. She serves on multiple community boards addressing children’s health and education and is adjunct faculty for both the University of Dayton Department of Political Science Master's in Public Administration and the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Population & Public Health Sciences.
