Julie Rish, PhD Julie Rish is a clinical psychologist and director of design and best practice in the Office of Patient Experience at the Cleveland Clinic. She is the director of communication skills training and an assistant professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Rish’s work focuses on applying human-centered design to improve patient experience and co-designing partnering with patients to transform healthcare. She is passionate about improving experience for patients and caregivers, speaks nationally on this topic and was the recipient of the 2016 Press Ganey Success Story® award.
