Anna E. Gaeta, RN, BSN, MS, CPHQ, CPPS, and Denise McPartland, MS, are Assistant Directors, Quality Management-Institute for Clinical Excellence and Quality at North Shore LIJ Health System. Ms. Gaeta led the project to standardize Patient Identification system-wide, which won the 2015 John Q. Sherman Award for Excellence in Patient Engagement. Ms. McPartland was a member of the project’s Steering Team.
