Mafi, MD, MPH is an assistant professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he also practices and teaches general internal medicine and primary care. He also is an affiliated adjunct natural scientist at RAND Corporation. He is interested in innovations and policies that can improve the quality and lower costs of care. In particular, he is interested in evaluating factors related to low value care as well as assessing the impact of transparency on patient engagement and the quality of care.
